We follow a real transaction end to end and time each step. The map is almost never what the process document describes.

High-volume, rule-based and repetitive ones: moving data between systems, generating documents, routing approvals, producing scheduled reports, and alerting on exceptions. Work requiring judgement usually is not - though the information gathering around it often is.

No, and usually you should not. Most automation connects systems that are staying. Replacement is a separate decision we would only recommend if a system is genuinely blocking you.

There are still options - scheduled file exchange, direct database reads, or vendor integration modules. We will tell you honestly if a system is closed enough that automation is not worth the effort.
